It is so clear to me that crypto technology facilitates the melding of currency and culture. Culture does not live outside of monetary systems, but within them. Fashion, social media, music, sports, art, and economics all blend into one. And this podcast will highlight these relationships. And along the way, I hope to gain your trust in facilitating these conversations. I published the first academic thesis on crypto art in 2018, and now here we are. I'm the head of Emergent Networks, which primarily operates as an NFT [01:00] and the lead advisor for Resurgence, a Web3 MMORPG. Also, I'm a lover of pop and rap music, luxury handbags, and the NBA. So I make sure that my cultural references don't just exist within the crypto bubble. So come join me as we look at crypto within the framework of culture, which I believe is the ultimate context.
